Pray for Indonesia
December 2024 |
Dear Prayer Partner,
This December, join us in focusing our prayer requests on Indonesia, a country with more than 17,000 beautiful islands, of which only 6,000 are inhabited. Despite a flourishing population of 284 million people, nearly 200 million are considered least-reached. Islam is dominant in that region: there are more Muslims in Indonesia than in any other country.
Ruby leads our team in Indonesia. Diamond is our Regional Prayer Leader, and Pearl is our Data Manager/Admin Assistant. Along with four Facilitators, they serve 30 groups of churches and 68 training programs. They persevere and carry on with training and events despite extreme challenges with travel, persecution, and hardship. I am so grateful for our staff in this region and praise God whenever I think of them.
Last year, 51 disciple-makers were trained, planting eight new churches with 74 new disciples. They have co-labored with God to do amazing work in a very difficult context.
As the year draws to a close, I want to thank you again for your generosity - of both your time and finances - to this essential ministry. It is a comfort and privilege to know that we have steadfast supporters like you who share the same vision and passion for the unreached.
Until the whole world knows,

Andre Lesur
Executive Director, Global Disciples Canada
P.S. We are hosting a special Prayer Event on December 2nd @ 6 p.m. PDT. Ernesto will be joining us to share about what God is doing in Latin America. Please sign up using this online form. Iād love to see you there!
Sharing the Gospel across Different Cultures and TraditionsBridging cultural divides requires a deep understanding of the belief systems that shape the worldview of the people we seek to reach. Striking the balance between respecting cultural uniqueness and delivering the unfaltering truth of the Gospel is a delicate task. By training local leaders, we are better positioned to navigate the cultural nuances that might otherwise hinder our message. |
