His boat sank
Dear Prayer Partner,
One of our values at Global Disciples is risk-taking obedience. We believe following Jesus sometimes means going when the cost is real.
When I think about that, I think about Titus.
Not long before I visited him in Indonesia, he was travelling by boat to another island to preach the Gospel when the boat sank.
Titus spent about two hours in the water before another boat found him and pulled him out.
But this humble man is so committed to reaching people with the Gospel that he still gets on those boats, sometimes travelling up to 17 hours just to reach the next island.
He knows what can happen out there.
He goes because there are people on the other side who still haven’t heard about Jesus.
I’d really like to get him off those boats when we can.
Our team in Indonesia tells us about $15,000 would cover a year of small-plane travel for Titus and his team, when flights are available. That would make some of these journeys much safer, cut hours of travel, and give Titus more time with the churches and local believers he’s there to serve.
If you’re able, would you help?
I know Titus is willing to keep taking the boat. I just don’t think he should have to if we can do something about it.
Until the Whole World Knows,
Andre Lesur
