How Ronan’s training led to a village miracle

Dear Friend,

Samira is a young girl from a poor family in India. Her parents died when she was 4 years old so she went to live with her aunt and uncle who worked hard in a tea garden. Because of their poverty, Samira never had a chance to go to school.

When she was just 17 years old, she began to suffer from a serious condition that caused constant bleeding. Her family took her to a government hospital, but the doctors said her condition was too risky for them to handle. When they took her to the private hospital, they learned that the expenses of the surgery and the medication would be far beyond what they were able to afford.



In her helpless condition, Samira turned to a local disciple-maker who had been trained at a Global Disciples Small Business Development Training—his name was Ronan—asking for his help to buy sanitary products. Moved with compassion, Ronan and his wife supported Samira for seven months, purchasing what she needed and visiting her daily at her home to pray for healing. For those seven months they prayed faithfully, trusting that God would do what medicine could not.



Then one day, a miracle happened! Samira’s bleeding suddenly stopped. When Samira returned to the hospital for a check-up, the doctors confirmed that she was completely healed!

Through this miracle, Samira and her whole family came to know Jesus Christ. It was with great joy and gratitude that Samira accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized in August of 2025. Her aunt and uncle also accepted Jesus and were baptized in September.



Today Samira and her family stand as a living testimony of God’s healing power, compassion and grace to their friends, relatives and neighbors. Thanks be to God! I love these stories of healing that remind us of the ministry of Jesus.

Remember the story in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke of the woman who had a condition of bleeding. She only touched the hem of Jesus’ cloak and she was healed. Today Jesus is doing the same kind of miracles around the world to bring glory to his name and to extend His Kingdom to the ends of the earth!
