Pray for Myanmar

Dear Prayer Partner,

Join us in October as we focus our prayer requests on our Myanmar region, which also includes a few programs in Cambodia and Laos. This region is home to approximately 80 million people: 85% are considered least-reached, and Buddhism is the dominant religious system.

Led by Ela, our Regional Coordinator; Thiha, our Regional Prayer Leader, and Teddy, our Data Manager/Admin Assistant, our staff in this region have co-labored with God to do amazing work in a very difficult context. Along with seven Facilitators, they serve 79 groups of churches and 237 training programs.

Last year alone, 948 disciple- makers were trained and planted 94 new churches, with 1,000 new disciples.

Despite extreme challenges with a troubled economy and political unrest since the military coup in February 2021, our team on the ground has persevered with trainings and events, even risking their lives to travel in public.

On that note, please also pray specifically for our team leader. He is concerned for his young adult daughters. Right now, one daughter can be exempted from military service to care for the family, but his second daughter may be conscripted at any time and forced to take up arms against her own people. Though much of the world has forgotten Myanmar, these harsh realities continue.
