September Prayer Calendar

Dear Prayer Partner,

 As September begins, 243 days of 2026 have passed, nearly 67% of the year. Isn’t that wild!
 
Just 122 days remain. How did that happen so quickly?
 
As I reflect on the summer, I’m incredibly grateful for opportunities to rest and reconnect, for time spent with faithful Christian leaders, and for the stories we continue to hear of God transforming lives around the world.
 
Through every season, we are reminded that God is always at work and often in ways we cannot yet see.
 
As we enter the final third of the year, we don’t want to simply drift toward December. We want to move forward prayerfully and expectantly, with renewed faith for everything God still desires to do.
 
But we also recognize the magnitude and gravity of the work before us.
 
Nearly one-third of the world has yet to hear the Good News of Jesus. Many of those following Christ and making disciples among least-reached people do so at tremendous personal cost.
 
In just the last two months, we have received urgent prayer requests concerning persecution in different parts of the world.
 
In Latin America, a young man from a pastoral family was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. The official charge centred on receiving a cellphone recharge worth just fifty cents, but local believers believe the real reason is his family’s Christian ministry. We have been praying that this unjust conviction will be overturned.
 
In Southeast Asia, we received a prayer request for a pastor, his wife and their two sons after the entire family was arrested in December last year! We have since received an encouraging praise report just this week, that they have been released on bail after this brother and his wife have spent 242 days in prison. Praise God!
 
These are not distant headlines. They are our brothers and sisters in Christ.
 
This is the gravity of the mission we are part of and why your prayers matter so deeply. Prayer is not an optional extra to this work. Through prayer, we stand alongside those who are suffering, strengthen those carrying the Gospel and contend for people who are still waiting to hear the name of Jesus.
 
This month, our September Prayer Calendar will guide us as we pray for revival, protection, workers for the harvest and disciple-making movements across Latin America, Africa and Asia.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness throughout this summer and every day of this year. We give You the remaining 122 days of 2026. Strengthen those who are suffering for Your name, protect those serving in difficult places and send workers into the harvest. Awaken Your Church and lead us forward with courage and expectation. May many more come to know and follow Jesus. In your mighty name, the name above every name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
